Join us for an exclusive site tour of Generation Haus, designed for intergenerational living!

Held in collaboration with the Sustainable Builders Alliance (SBA), come and see this two dwelling property (still in construction) that has been designed and constructed housing both the parents and daughter and partner. The project brief and delivery will be to provide a healthy living environment for the occupants with the added benefits of energy efficiency, rainwater harvesting and a large PV array.

The team behind this property have combined their extensive knowledge and experience in the Passive House industry, applying the principles and required materials was relatively unchallenged on this particular project. Balancing the client budget with the schedule of finishes and passive house elements is always a challenge but having already established the passive house building fabric is essential to the success of the project financially and thermally.

On site will be Brian Guinan (Certified PH Consultant, Director & registered builder at I-Smart Building Group) & Jac Bonomi (Director & Designer at Ezzenziale).

Following the site tour, attendees will be given a presentation about Passivhaus fundamentals and have the opportunity to connect with each other over a sundowner drink!

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learnings with air tight and thermal envelope testing and modelling.
  • Separation of the conjoined living spaces was going to be the preferred option with two individual HRV systems.
