    Jessica Allen

    Technical Manager at Climasure

Jessica is a building designer who took a very early interest in function over form, rejecting design for performance. Her career started with code compliance - NatHERS ratings and the other complexities of the energy efficiency section the NCC, and grew to include air tightness consulting and blower door testing for both residential and commercial buildings and most recently has expanded into the world of mould and building biology. She is also a Passivhaus Designer and a WUFI professional. Her passion for building performance has snowballed over the years and she is now entrenched in building science because she believes THIS is where the real difference can be made, both to building occupants and to our planet. She is passionate about educating the industry and wants to encourage information sharing as much as possible.

    Jesse Clarke

R&D and Innovation Manager at Proclima

As an ABSA accredited professional for over 10 years in his early career, Jesse has been involved in the use of the NSW Building Sustainability Index at its conception and appreciate the positive influence it has had on the uptake of sustainable building practices within the residential market. Jesse believes the key to achieving sustainable buildings is to pragmatically design the envelope to achieve outstanding passive design while incorporating a detailed understanding of the fundamental thermodynamic and hygrothermic principles of building materials, glazing, shading and insulation. I always strive to further perfect the art of designing a building to balance all the performance criteria; energy, light, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, acoustics and fire safety. Being involved in the development of the CSR House technique, a guide to the design and construction of high performance housing lead to the realization that construction practices in Australia can be greatly enhanced by challenging the norm and pushing the boundaries of standard practice to create a new and better minimum acceptable standard. Leading with building science the international best practice solutions offered by Pro Clima challenge traditional build practices to deliver outstanding results.
